Where Does the Money Go?
The Arlington County Board voted on April 9, 2025, to adopt a $1.69 billion balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2026.
After careful deliberation on the options presented, the Arlington County Board agreed with the Manager’s recommendations to keep the real estate property tax rate at $1.033 per $100 of assessed value and increase the meals tax rate from 4% to 5%.

The Arlington community is invited to the grand opening of Fire Station 8, marking the official end to a two-year construction project. In-person guests will be able to tour the newly built station, climb into the trucks, and explore the exhibit highlighting the legacy of the Halls Hill community.

Teens are invited to the Teen Takeover Spring Break Skate Night at the Thomas Jefferson Community center on April 26. Enjoy music, snacks, games, and, of course, open skating.
The event is free, but make sure to register your teen for the fun.
