The Proposed FY 2026 Budget is Revealed

Budget Proposal 

The County Manager proposed the FY 2026 budget that prioritizes fiscal resiliency and reduces adverse impacts on taxpayers while acknowledging significant economic uncertainties. 

One Rosslyn Engagement

Closing soon! Take a minute to share your input about a plan to build three residential towers at 1901 and 1911 Fort Myer Drive in Rosslyn. This engagement period ends March 3. 

Stormwater Utility Credit Deadline 

You are running out of time to sign up your property for this year's Stormwater Utility Credit. During this time, all property owners in Arlington can apply for voluntary credits offsetting a percentage of their 2025 Stormwater Utility bill.

Qualifying credit opportunities will be calculated based on the type of property and actions taken, such as tree planting, volunteer activities, and installing some types of pervious surfaces. 

• Federal workers and contractors are invited to a resource fair on March 8. Access information on unemployment assistance and workers' rights. 
  
  
• The County will hold two open house events in March to discuss community priorities for Arlington's Transportation Future. 
  
  
• Using Community input, developers unveiled a concept design to improve the Courthouse neighborhood. Tell us what you think by March 2. 
  
  
• Families are invited to participate in the Your Voice Matters Survey. Help APS enhance programs that support our students and families. Families will receive an anonymous link through school-wide communications. Learn more.

• The world is celebrating the life and legacy of music icon - and Arlington native - Roberta Flack.
  
  
• Bridgerton author, Julia Quinn, may be a literary giant, but she told fans in Arlington a secret. She's scared of getting on "BookTok."  
  
  
• Looking for a summer job? The Arlington County Job Fair is promoting seasonal, part-time, and public safety roles in the County. Join us on March 6.
  
  
• The County is accepting submissions for the 2024 Bill Thomas Park Volunteer Award. Nominate someone dedicated to improving our parks. 
  
  
• The County has released the Community Vulnerability Index Map, a new tool to help identify concentrations of vulnerable populations in Arlington. 
  
  
• The Arlington Commission for the Arts is now accepting applications for TWO $50,000 grants to fund arts and culture projects.  
  
  
• Before a new novel in The Hunger Games series hit bookstores, Arlington Public Library is screening the original Hunger Games movie on March 8.
