The third annual “Arlington Art Walk” welcomes back galleries, artist studios and Public Art between Clarendon and Ballston. This year, look for more exhibits, workshops, an artisan market, music and celebration of the 40th anniversary of Arlington Public Art. Be sure to check out a tour of Arlington Public Library's makerspace "The Shop" from 4 to 5pm, make and take a Kitchen Lithograph with artist Fleming Jeffries at Mason Exhibitions Arlington, see live painting, live music and local wine tastings at Northside Social, enjoy receptions at WHINO and MoCA Arlington, and much, much more!  More

The Nature of Poetry Walk

Sat, Sept 28 | 10a | Lubber Run Community Center | Arlington Forest

Join Courtney LeBlanc, Arlington’s Poet Laureate, for a short walk through Lubber Run Park. The walk will include several stops where the group will gather and Courtney will read a poem that has a nature theme. A brief discussion about the poem will follow. The walk will end at the park’s amphitheater. Once at the amphitheater, Courtney will provide a prompt and the group can write their own nature-inspired poem. Registration is full, but you can join the waitlist or register to receive information about future events. More

This colorful carnival game built specifically for Arlington by artist Scott Pennington is designed to accommodate two to three players at a time making it fun for friends and family! Learn how household waste impacts the County’s wastewater collection and treatment systems and how you can help. More

The exhibition explores artists’ expressions of identity in South Africa through the lens of printmaking, featuring works of alumni and current artists of the Artist Proof Studio (APS), based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Featuring over 100 prints by 26 artists, the prints range in technique, style, and subject matter, drawing inspiration from South African popular culture and history as well as personal narratives. Bridging the diasporic community of Black printmakers, the exhibition expands to include five DC-based printmakers. More
