Arlington Battling the Heat

The County remains under near-daily heat advisories with 90-degree temperatures forecasted through next week. Watch this 2-minute video for some simple tips for keeping cool in this dangerous weather. 

Need to beat the heat?

• Due to excessive heat, all spraygrounds are extending their hours to operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
• Visit a library or a community center and enjoy free air conditioning 
• Sign up for Arlington Alert to receive emergency messages about hazardous weather and other emergency situations. 
• Arlington can provide cooling assistance to those who qualify.

Record-Setting Popularity

More than 7 million people visited Arlington in 2023. And according to a new tourism report, those visitors spent more than $4 billion making themselves at home.

Late Night at the Mill, the teen summer series, is back for Summer 2024. Middle and high school teens are invited to enjoy art activities, music and sports starting on July 13 at Arlington Mill Community Center.
