Arlington's 30th annual celebration of African American history and culture is set for Saturday at the Charles Drew Community Center. With dozens of artisan vendors, delicious food, music, dance, and more, it's sure to be fun for the whole family!

Calling All High Schoolers

Join Parks & Rec for new weekend, drop-in sports programs at Arlington Mill Community Center! Join us from 9 p.m.-midnight for Ballin' at the Mill Late Night every Friday and Kick'n it Late Night at the Mill on Saturdays. Bring your friends and make new ones as you show your basketball and futsal skills! There are tons of awesome sports options, and they're all FREE!

Tell Metro What Matters to You

Metro is facing a $750 million deficit and is asking the public to provide feedback on their proposed budget, which includes changes that could impact thousands of Arlington residents and travelers. Review the proposed FY25 budget and give your thoughts by March 5. Two Ways To Provide Comments:

• Online questionnaire (in English or Spanish)
• A public hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Arlington County Board Room

• Join an interactive discussion on what matters most to older Arlingtonians during the annual Community Engagement Forum on Aging.
  
  
• Learn about the Arlington Ridge Road/Mount Vernon Trail Bridge Replacement project at a March 5 Open House. 
  
  
• Did you know that Arlington's Race and Ethnicity Dashboard is now updated with 2023 Census data?
  
  
• Imagine you live, work, and or play in Arlington in the year 2050—and you love it! What makes it great?
  
  
• Arlington is reviewing the land use proposal for Barcroft Apartments. Share your priorities (other than affordability) for Barcroft by March 24.
  
  
• The Board has allocated 5 million dollars for innovative proposals that expand affordable, quality child care. Proposals due by Feb. 26.

In celebration of Black History Month, join Libraries for an abbreviated screening of "Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin," followed by a panel discussion featuring Rustin's life partner Walter Naegle and co-director Bennett Singer, in conversation with longtime Arlington residents.
