Early Voting for Democratic Primary Starts May 5
Early voting for the June 20 Democratic Primary Election begins May 5 at the Ellen M. Bozman Government Center (2100 Clarendon Blvd., Suite 320) Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. All Arlington residents are eligible to vote early.
2022 Report on Homelessness Charts Progress, Challenges
Arlington’s Homelessness Continuum of Care (CoC) served 1,070 people in 2022, according to its FY 2021-2022 annual report. The number was almost identical to pre-pandemic levels thanks to strong eviction prevention efforts.
Spotlight on Historic Preservation

- Arlington Public Library has several events during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, including two Little Saigon Walking Tours on May 6 and a Recipe Comics Workshop with “Cook Korean!” author Robin Hua on May 20.
- Stay Arlington has a list of restaurants and businesses that are owned or run by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders around Arlington that you can support.

- Join the Arlington County Police Department and the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office to observe the 2023 Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 10.
- The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will host its second annual Freedom Concert at the Netherlands Carillon in Arlington on May 10.

Apply to ACPD’s 2023 Teen Police Academy
Are you a teen interested in a career in law enforcement? Apply to one of two summer sessions of the Arlington County Police Department’s Teen Police Academy by May 14. Applicants must be rising 10th to 12th grade students who live in or attend school in Arlington County.
