Learn about Arlington’s birds that are threatened by loss of habitat in Virginia and what you can do to help them. Artist Greg Stewart, sculptor and professor at James Madison University, and Naz Anissi, a George Mason University student, will be on-hand to facilitate your artmaking. You can select from a library of laser-cut names of Arlington’s birds, then stencil them onto the ground with sifted soil and create a bird sculpture using clay and native seeds in the shape of the threatened birds to take and plant. Gratitude: A Solo Show by Barry Keith

Barry Barnett Keith’s solo exhibition, Gratitude, explores a myriad of subject matter from landscapes to superheroes in a color palette outside of Keith’s usual tone. Typically, Keith is a fast plein air painter, but the pieces in Gratitude are slowed down and detailed. His new paintings still carry over themes from his solo show last year at Gallery Underground, Water, but they also explore new themes for the artist. More
