We PAUSED! Unbound is a year-long exhibit in response to the 2021 project We PAUSED! A Handmade Book by Studio PAUSE for Gates of Ballston, which chronicles a year of the COVID-19 pandemic. When Arlington Arts invited Studio PAUSE to turn the book into an exhibit, the project team decided to cut the strings that bound the book and re-imagine its contents in a new light, letting lines of poetry pulled from the book inspire four thematic installations. Join for the opening reception and artist talk on Sat, July 16 4-7pm. More

 Arlington Arts Center Summer Exhibitions
July 9 - Sept 4 | Arlington Arts Center | Virginia Square
A Journey Not Soon Forgotten features artists that share their personal experiences with migration in an effort to advocate for the interests of these global communities.
In New Visions, Vibrant Memories, five artists examine the past and present of Arlington. Working in painting and photography the artists all bring their unique approaches to considering how Arlington’s shifting landscape has both influenced and reflected the people who live within it.
Arlington Arts Center is pleased to present Time Binding, a new solo exhibition of installation, painting and drawing by resident artist Sarah Hardesty. Predominantly created after a pandemic year spent in a cabin in a remote part of Washington state, Time Binding is Hardesty’s abstracted documentation of dramatic natural phenomena that find their parallel in universal human experiences.
Join on Sat, July 9, 6-9pm for a reception to celebrate the summer exhibition and enjoy open studios with the resident artists! More
