Lubber Run is back! Come on out and come back to Lubber Run, reopening for the first time since 2019! Blues singer-songwriter Chris Pierce performs at the re-opening of the free Lubber Run Amphitheater Summer Concert Series. The series runs from Friday, July 9 through Aug 15, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 11am. More

Foon Sham, a D.C.-area sculptor, has two works in the Arlington Public Art collection – Ridge at Oakland Park and Aya at Bennett Park Art Atrium. In this upcoming artist talk, Foon is joined by Angela Adams, director, Arlington Public Art, to discuss his installation at the National Building Museum, his other work, and the important role of art in the public realm. Study Japanese in Arlington: Tanabata Festival

This hybrid virtual and in-person event combines a Virtual Art Seminar on July 10 about Tanabata and the ways it has been represented in Japanese art, and the family-friendly in-person festival on July 11. Festival activities include origami, calligraphy, yukata dressing, kendama, 
tanzaku Wish Writing, and a sticker passport. More

Come for a fun Summer event to celebrate the Arlington Public Library Summer Reading Challenge. Christylez Bacon, GRAMMY nominated Progressive Hip-Hop artist, combines rhyming, storytelling and interactive call and response choruses with diverse instrumentation to deliver a message of cultural acceptance & unification blending traditional elements of musical styles from jazz to hip-hop. The Library Truck will also be there! There will be an interactive Community Comment Wall and a table full of fun giveaways as well. More
