Dear Restaurant and Business Community,
We want to continue to keep you abreast of relevant information pertaining to business operations and resources available to support your business.
MASK UP
The Business Outreach Unit has heard your concerns regarding conflicts pertaining to Executive Order 63 or the mask mandate. We understand that a patron refusing to wear a face covering inside an establishment can result in a conflict. The Business Outreach Unit has created a flyer regarding tips for business on how to de-escalate conflicts relating to the mask mandate.
A printable version of the flyer can be found here:
A restaurant is allowed to refuse service to a patron who does not want to wear a mask.
Restaurants should also provide reasonable accommodations for patrons who either refuse to wear a mask or claim a medical exemption, including curbside pick-up or delivery.
Wearing a mask/cloth face covering does not replace the need to practice social distancing.
