Village Center (950 S. George Mason Dr.)
- Concrete work has begun following the completion of Sheeting and Shoring of the construction area.

- Concrete work is continuing above ground with the bulk of the parking structure complete

- With concrete work complete, exterior finishes are being applied and work begins to shift to the interior of the building

Career Center Working Group
The Career Center Working Group continues to assess potential strategies to address near-term student enrollment increases while developing a long-term vision for this site. County/APS staff along with consultants have shared a number of informative presentations since this effort began in late 2017. The group has also initiated a subcommittee to focus on the needs of the public library branch and its long-term future.
Upcoming meetings scheduled for the month of April include the following:
- Tuesday, 4/10/18: Public Library Subcommittee meeting (7pm)
- Thursday, 4/12/18: Career Center Working Group meeting (7pm)
- Tuesday, 4/17/18: Joint School Board and County Board Work Session (6:30pm)

In Case You Missed It
Columbia Pike Farmers Market
A farmers market is returning to the Pike. Please join CPRO and County Board member Christian Dorsey for an opening celebration at the Arlington Mill Community Center on Saturday, May 5th at 9am to officially open the farmers market. The market will be set up on the plaza facing Columbia Pike and will run every Saturday from 9am to 1pm through October. In addition, the farmers market on S. Walter Reed Drive and Columbia Pike will continue to operate on Sundays (9am-1pm).
The Arlington Mill Community Center farmers market was recently approved by the County Board in November 2017. You can read more about their application in the staff report.
