Crystal City Multimodal Center
This week the contractor continued work on the northeast side of the South Bell Street and 18th Street intersection. Crews reconstructed the roadway on that quadrant of the intersection and removed the pedestrian island in the middle of the road.
On Saturday, June 18, the contractor will begin work in the northwest corner of the intersection, closest to the Metro escalator.
Only buses will be allowed to enter South Bell Street between 15th and 18th Streets during the next phase of construction, which has a scheduled duration of approximately 30 days. Pedestrians are urged to follow detour signs through these areas and watch for buses when crossing Bell Street. View project page
