05/03/25 Provo Half Marathon Detours on Routes 831, 834, 850, and UVX

Due to the Provo Half Marathon, Routes 831, 824, 950, and UVX will use multiple detours between 4:00 AM until the late afternoon on Saturday, May 3rd. Please expect delays for the duration of the event.

Routes 831 and 830X (UVX):
Routes 831 and UVX will use Freedom Blvd between University Pkwy and 920 S in both directions. Stops going in both directions on and in between University Ave and 900 E will not be in service during this time.  Regular stops for Route 831 will be available at 550 W / University Pkwy (NB and SB) and regular stops for the UVX will be available at University Parkway / 2167 N. Please note that UVX and 831 will use the 834 bus stops on Freedom Blvd in Provo. This detour will cause buses to run early, but buses will wait for regular departure times at their EOLs.

Route 834:
Route 834 will use 800 E between River Bend Ln and University Pkwy in both directions. Stops going in both directions on and in between 2230 N and W River Park Dr will not be in service during this time. Regular stops will be available at Freedom Blvd / 1555 N, Freedom Blvd / 1550 N, Center St / 749 E, and Center St / 430 E.

Route 850:
Route 850 will use Freedom Blvd between 100 N and 920 S in both directions. Stops on University Ave and 100 N east of Freedom Blvd will not be in service during this time. Regular stops will be available at 100 N / 280 W and 100 N / 273 W. 

During this event, bus routes will not be able to go on or east of University Avenue, with the exception of two shuttle buses that will run between Provo Station and BYU using 300 South and 900 East (part of the 831 route). They will be run from 7:00 AM to the end of the marathon and use the header ‘Special’. Please board them at Bay ‘N’ in Provo Station and the southbound 831 bus stop (Stop ID: 830032) on 900 North at BYU.
