 Grad Guide: Must-Know Tips!
🪪 Plan ahead: Fill out your information for a pass from the Visitor Control Center ahead of time. This form will close Friday, May 10th at 11:59 p.m. Make sure to bring a valid ID to attain a visitor's pass for all guests 18 and up. Other primary forms of identification are accepted in case you do not have a Real ID driver's license.
👜 Only clear bags are allowed in Michie Stadium. Here is what we recommend packing for parades, ceremonies, and all Graduation week’s outdoor events.
 🥪 Between Graduation and Commissioning, having a lunch plan ready will make all the difference. This is your chance to relax, recharge, and escape the heat while waiting for your cadet to join you. Whether you choose to pack a cooler for a quick bite or take a stroll and explore, West Point offers several convenient dining options, including the West Point Club, Eisenhower Hall, and Grant Hall.Â

💍 Fiancé(e)s of the Class of 2025 are invited to "Spouse to Be" Coffee on Thursday, May 22 at 10 a.m. Hosted by DUSA, this special tradition offers light refreshments and a guest speaker. Each fiancée may bring up to two guests. Reserve your spot today!
🎓 After cadets toss their caps into the air, children are allowed to rush onto the field to retrieve them. Children get to keep the hat and any items inside, a tradition that dates back to 1946. Read here to learn about the rules of the Hat Toss.
 FAQs
♿ Handicap & Accessibility options? If a family member requires medical accommodations for Graduation, your cadet should notify their Chain of Command by April 7th to arrange proper services. Make sure to bring your own Handicap hangtags if you have a rental car. For guests with mobility challenges who prefer an indoor viewing option, the Class of '63 Lounge on the 3rd level of Eisenhower Hall will be available.
🎖 When is the Graduation Parade? The Graduation Parade takes place on Friday, May 23rd, at 11 a.m. Seating is first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early! This special event marks a major milestone as the graduating class is honored for "leaving" the Corps.
📸 Can I take pictures of my cadet as they receive their diploma? Guests in the audience are permitted to take photos from their seats. Legacy Photos will photograph each cadet as they receive their diploma. Be sure to check West Point’s Flickr Albums throughout the week for photos of other events!
🇺🇸 What happens after Graduation? Following the ceremony, graduates must complete their clearing process, then change into their Army Service Uniforms for individual commissioning ceremonies. Graduating cadets are responsible for scheduling their own commissioning ceremony.
