New Health Equity Environmental Scan:

OHE seeks to identify all health equity related programs, pilots, quality improvement initiatives, research protocols and/or resource materials. All VA facilities and program offices are encouraged to submit health equity activities for Veterans. Learn more and enter data here. (VA network only)

SAVE-THE-DATE:

  • Advancing the Response to COVID-19
    The HHS Office of Minority Health will host a virtual symposium on Thursday, September 17, 2020 to highlight state, Tribal, territorial and community-based efforts to address COVID-19 among racial and ethnic minority populations. Learn more.

  • Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote: Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 12pm. No RSVP required. Check VACO Daily News for login information. (VA Staff only)

Women's Equality Day - August 26th
Women's Equality Day began in 1971 to commemorate the signing of the 19th Amendment which occurred on August 26, 1920 and gave women the right to vote after many years of work for women's suffrage and political equality.
