SC MIRECC Welcomes New MIDAS Director
Dr. Rebecca Raciborski joins SC MIRECC as the new director of the MIRECC Implementation, Design and Analysis Support (MIDAS) program. In this role, Dr. Raciborski will actively collaborate with SC MIRECC leadership, investigators, MIDAS consultants, and VA partners to identify methodological needs and then prioritize and align support to meet these needs.

Free CE: SC MIRECC CBOC Mental Health Grand Rounds Archived Webinar Series
SC MIRECC National CBOC Mental Health Grand Rounds webinars provide continuing education (CE) training on evidence-based practices, research, and new issues in mental health to VA clinicians who work with rural Veterans. An archive of recorded webinars includes three trainings that can help clinicians increase their knowledge of mental health treatment at VA. These three trainings cover anxiety and panic disorder, professional boundaries in rural communities, and financial well-being for Veterans.

Free SC MIRECC Clinical Education Products
Our featured clinical education products include free resources for continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) , attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with substance use disorder, complementary and alternative approaches to treating headaches, pharmacological management of PTSD in Veterans with mild traumatic brain injury, and chronic pain.

Pilot Study Grant Opportunity for VISN 16 Investigators
Pilot grants are a foundation for supporting larger quality improvement and research projects. The SCMIRECC Pilot Program is a great opportunity for investigators who are interested in pilot funding for projects that aim to improve Veterans’ access to high quality mental health and substance use treatment services, as well as to help community partners better serve the behavioral health needs of rural and other underserved Veterans.
Research Methods and Analysis Consultation Services Available for VISN 16 Investigators
Our MIRECC Implementation, Design and Analysis Support (MIDAS) program offers centralized design, methodologic and analytic support to VISN 16 researchers who are seeking intramural or extramural funding or conducting pilot projects. The MIDAS team is experienced in biostatistics, epidemiology, demography, psychometrics, qualitative methods, and project implementation.
