Parking at University Drive
Staff who had been working remotely began to return to our facilities in February to better serve you, but we are aware the increased traffic to our University Drive location has impacted parking in our garage. We are constantly working to ensure parking is available when you need it, but we know we have work to do. Please be patient as we continuously seek out and implement solutions to ensure we are able to accommodate all patients and staff who use the garage.

As always, if you have an appointment with us, we will see you. If you need emergency care, our University Drive Emergency Department will see you 24/7/365. If you need behavioral health care, or help with homelessness, we are here.
We are proud and honored to serve you in these unprecedented times by continuing to deliver the high-quality care you have earned and come to expect. Our team of compassionate professionals has not wavered in their commitment to supporting your needs and ensuring a seamless experience.
Be assured we are fully operational and focused on maintaining the exceptional standards of care and service you have come to trust. We will always put your needs first, and we look forward to serving you.
Just last week, we provided:
- 7,845 face-to-face, outpatient appointments at our eight sites of care.
- 5,293 video and phone appointments.
- 352 emergency room visits.
- 1,103 bed days of care to inpatients, including Veterans needing medical, surgical and behavioral health care.
- 1,017 bed days of care for Community Living Center patients.
We also, as a principal site for the training of the next generation of health care providers for both Veterans and the nation, hosted over 350 health-professional trainees. During their rotations with us, these residents, interns, fellows and other trainees gained the experience necessary to treat Veterans and their complex conditions exacerbated by service-connected injuries, regardless of whether the trainees will practice medicine within VA or at a community partner facility.
Thank you for choosing us for your health care needs.

Sites Selected for New Beaver and Westmoreland County Clinics
We have selected sites for our new outpatient clinics in Beaver and Westmoreland counties. The Beaver facility will be located on the grounds of the Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca, while the Greensburg clinic will be on Towne Square Drive in Greensburg.
The Westmoreland site is just off Route 30, at the Mt. Pleasant Road exit, near Hampton Inn. The site is a vacant lot immediately past a former Gander Mountain store, about one mile west of the current Westmoreland County VA Outpatient Clinic behind Westmoreland Mall.
The Beaver location is at 301 Beaver Valley Mall Boulevard in Monaca. The site is a standalone vacant building that previously housed a Sears automotive store. It is located approximately 3.5 miles away, or a nine-minute drive, from the existing clinic in Rochester.
Both clinics are expected to open in two years. They will provide provide Veterans with the same services currently available to them close to home, with additional space for specialty care such as audiology, chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy and an infusion room for certain hematology/oncology chemotherapy treatments.
