Veterans Health Administration sent this bulletin at 01/03/2025 03:36 PM ESTDear Veterans,
In honor and remembrance of former President James Earl Carter Jr., President Biden has issued an Executive Order (EO) providing for the closure of all executive departments and agencies of the federal government on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
Despite the recent release of the EO, our dedication to honoring our commitment to provide exceptional healthcare to our Veterans remains. As a result, we want to assure you that all appointments scheduled for January 9th will proceed as planned.
We remain open, and outpatient clinics and scheduled procedures can proceed as planned on this date. Where available, earlier appointments may be offered for patients to consider. Otherwise, scheduled appointments or procedures will take place as previously arranged.
It is imperative we continue to honor our commitment to provide the best healthcare possible, today, and every day, and we will not relent in that commitment.
