Changes coming to My HealtheVet.
Login.gov and ID.me to access VA websites will become mandatory on 1 February 2025.
Veterans registering NEW accounts after TODAY (9/17) on My HealtheVet will go through Login.gov or ID.me.
Here is some info on Login.gov and IDme which will be required to access www.myhealth.va.gov or www.va.gov and all VA applications on 31 January 2025.
Login.gov can also be used for the IRS and Social Security.
“Login.gov or ID.me accounts meet modern security standards.” Each will ask for you social security number and ask you to upload pictures of your state driver’s license or identity card. If you have questions, do call the numbers below. Log in.gov requires a state ID. ID.me has many options.
SETTING UP ID.me or LOGIN.gov
Start at www.myhealth.va.gov: Go to SIGN IN and you will see a link at the very top to set up a Login.gov or ID.me.

VA support number to call is 1-877-327-0022. Veterans will select OPTION 1 for help with Login issues, and then OPTION 2 to be connected to the ID.me technical support desk for VA.
Accepts many government issued identity cards with pictures.
