Honeybee Initiative for Veteran's Empowerment and Support (HIVES) empowers Veterans to utilize beekeeping to manage their overall well-being, while supporting VA employees in initiating and facilitating wellness-based beekeeping programs. Veterans participating in the program report improved mental health, pain management, and social connections. HIVES is available at three VA sites with one in-progress.

Applications for the 10th VHA Shark Tank Competition are now closed! VA frontline leaders and subject matter experts will review applications from May 13-29 to select semifinalists. Thank you to all innovators who submitted their practices to the competition.

• Healthier Kidneys Through Your Kitchen (HKTYK) is a prevention-based care program designed to equip Veterans with the knowledge and skills to take control of their kidney health to slow the progression of chronic kidney disease. • Supporting Community Outpatient, Urgent care & Telehealth Services (SCOUTS) is a post emergency department (ED) care transition program for older Veterans at risk for functional decline, hospitalization, institutionalization, falls, or repeat ED visits.
