Have you upgraded your
My HealtheVet account to PREMIUM?
With a Premium account, you can order prescription refills, send message to healthcare and admin teams, check appointments, and retrieve records and lab reports.
1. Upgrade your account to Premium in person at any VA Maine location. No appointment is necessary. Takes two minutes.
You can upgrade your account to Premium account in person at at any VA Maine primary care front desk during normal business hours. You can also upgrade at the Sanford and Lewiston Vet Centers. You'll need to bring a non-expired government-issued photo ID. This can be either your Veteran Health Identification Card, (VHIC), a valid driver’s license, a passport, or a passport card.
Note: If your primary ID information does not match your official VA medical record, bring a secondary card such as your social security card.
2. Upgrade to a Premium account via a video visit
Sign up for a Premium account via a secure video visit if you have a camera on your cellphone, tablet, or computer. Call Mike L'Abbe at (207) 512-6983 to set this up.
3. Upgrade ONLINE to a Premium account:
Sign in to My HealtheVet using your Premium ID.me* or Login.gov* account.
You may be asked to accept the My HealtheVet Terms and Conditions.
Select the "Upgrade" button on the home page next to your name.
Check the certification box to verify you're the owner of the account and select "Continue."
After selecting "Continue," your account will upgrade to Premium

When you log into your My HealtheVet Account, look for your name in the top left hand corner.
Check your account type
If you have a Basic account, there will be a B after your name. If you have a Premium account, there will be a P after your name.
