Kansas City VA offers flu vaccines at drive through and walk in clinics beginning September 23

Get Your Flu Shot

Dear Veterans, 

Beginning September 23, no-cost flu vaccines are available to eligible Veterans though Kansas City VA Medical center and community-based outpatient clinics, as well as through in-network community retail pharmacies and urgent care.

Veterans are encouraged to get their no-cost flu shot to protect themselves, their families, and the community from complications from the flu. Kansas City VA Medical Center will host their drive through clinic in the front parking lot Saturday, September 23 and Saturday, September 30, from 8am to 2pm. These two events will occur whether rain or shine! 

• Saturday October 14 (updated COVID vaccines may also be offered based on product availability at this event).

• Saturday October 21 (updated COVID vaccines may also be offered based on product availability at this event). 

Kansas City VA Community Based Clinics also offer drive through flu clinic and walk-in hours to receive a flu shot on the following dates:

•Belton clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 21 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 1pm to 3pm through October 31.
•Cameron clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 21 from 8am to 12noon, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 1pm to 3pm through October 31.
•Excelsior Springs clinic: Walk in flu vaccine events Friday, September 29th 8:30am to 3pm and Friday, October 6th 8:30am to 3pm. Walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 1pm to 3pm through October 31.
•Honor Annex clinic: Walk in flu vaccine hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30am-6pm October 1 through November 30. Saturday, November 4 walk in flu vaccine 9am-3pm.
•Lenexa clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 14 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 7am-8am through October 31.
•Nevada clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 14 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 7am-8am through October 31.
•Paola clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 21 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 7am-8am through October 31.
•Shawnee clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 21 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 7am-8am through October 31.
•Warrensburg clinic: Drive through flu event Saturday, October 14 from 8am to 12pm, walk in flu vaccine hours Monday-Friday 1pm to 3pm through October 31.

The flu vaccine is also available during regularly scheduled appointments at most clinics.
