The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) expires effective May 11, 2023. VA has been preparing for this moment for months working to make this transition as seamless as possible for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. Here is an overview of how the end of the PHE will impact care and services throughout the VA San Diego Healthcare System:
Impact on Certain Home Visits for Veterans and Family Caregivers
- Return to in-person visits

- Limited use of VA Video Connect, the primary video platform authorized for scheduled video telehealth visits
