Message from the Medical Center Director
Dear Veterans, Colleagues and Community Partners –
It is my pleasure to share the Erie VAMC FY 22 Annual Report with you.
As you know, 2022 presented plenty of challenges across the health care sector. Most importantly, it provided immeasurable opportunities for us to pursue excellence in our service to America’s heroes – our Veterans.
This report demonstrates how we prioritized patient care, empowered our employees, and reconnected to the communities we serve – and to you – our partners in collective impact across northwestern Pennsylvania, northeastern Ohio, and southwestern New York.
The theme of the report – True North – illustrates our work as a High Reliability Organization –one that has leadership commitment, a culture of safety, and a continuous improvement process. This framework continues to transform our organization – bolstering the trust and respect to deliver exceptional care.
As a nation, we make a promise to take care of our Veterans. At the Erie VAMC, we are making good on that promise.
I am proud of the steadfast commitment, contributions, and consistency of our team – to Veterans and one another.
