New Check-In | Coming Soon

On August 8, 2022 Erie VA Medical Center and its Community Based VA Clinics will deploy a new patient check-in application for appointments. 

The application enables patients to conveniently check in on the day of an appointment from their smartphone - increasing flexibility and accessibility. 

Veterans always have the option to check in with a staff member.

By September 2022, patients will no longer check-in via kiosks.

How does the new patient check-in application work?

• Mobile check-in allows you to check in for your appointment with a smartphone.
• Pre-check-in is a method for you to verify information (e.g., contact, emergency contact, and next-of-kin) after confirming an appointment.
• To use pre-check-in, you must accept VEText appointment reminders. If you previously opted out, text START to 53079.

Am I required to use mobile check-in?

• No. You will always have the option to check in with a staff member. 

Do I need a smartphone to use mobile check-in?

• Yes. If you do not have a smartphone, VA staff are honored to check you in for an appointment in person.

Million Veteran Program Mobile Tour | July 11th

VA's Million Veteran Program (MVP) will visit the Erie VA Medical Center on July 11, 2022.

MVP is one of the largest research programs in the world studying genes and health.

Participating is easy!

Enroll at the Mobile Vet Center stationed at the main entrance parking lot from on July 11th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

MVP aims to recruit its one millionth Veteran by 2023.

Help us reach this historic milestone.

Join 875,000+ Veterans in VA’s largest research program ever.

You do not need to receive VA health care to join MVP.

Participation incudes: program enrollment, DNA collection, health &  lifestyle data, and military experiences.

Veterans do not have to provide a DNA sample (blood) when they enroll; however, you are welcome to enroll and provide a sample on the same day.

When you join MVP, your information is kept private and secure.
