Thank you for your patience and flexibility throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
VA is now moving into the endemic phase.
The health and safety of our Veterans and staff remain top priority. Our goal is to provide maximum care to patients while adjusting safety protocols as COVID-19 levels fluctuate within our catchment area.
Today, the Erie VA Medical Center implements COVID-19 Health Protection Levels as part VA’s consistent, nationwide approach for Veterans Health Administration (VHA) facilities to adjust COVID-19 safety protocols locally as needed.
The three VHA COVID-19 Health Protection Levels – low, medium, and high – align with CDC’s Community Transmission levels, which are based on new COVID cases and percentage of positive tests.
Currently, the Erie VA Medical Center and its VA Clinics are at the high level.
Mandatory masking, screening at entrances, physical distancing, and limited visitors remain in place at the main facility and all clinic locations.
Please note: high-risk areas including the Urgent Care Center (UCC), Community Living Center (CLC) and the Surgery Center have additional safety protocols.
Before your next visit, please check the Erie VA Medical Center Website for current protection levels.
Updates to the VHA COVID-19 Health Protection Level will occur every two weeks on Mondays, and signage will be displayed at the entrances.
This Mental Health Month, we remind our Veterans that it’s okay to ask for help. Take the first step.
