May 16, 2022 Release 22.1
KEY HIGHL19HTS
It's not often - in fact, it's very rare - that we have a Presidential Rank Award Winner in our midst. But that's exactly what our network director, Mr. Ralph Gigliotti, earned recently.
"Mr. G." would never share this announcement simply on his behalf; however, he wouldn't hesitate to sing the praises of our collective network efforts. This is why I "seized control" (or...asked our chief communications officer if I could send it this month) of HIGHL19HTS this quarter: to give proper recognition to our network director.
The Presidential Rank Awards Program honors SES and senior government employees for a sustained record of exceptional professional, technical, and/or scientific achievement recognized on a national or international level. Without a doubt, Ralph would immediately deflect any recognition from himself to the significant accomplishments and activities of our entire VA Rocky Mountain Network team. If you're inclined, watch Secretary McDonough present the award to Mr. Gigliotti (his award begins at the 16:45 mark), and more importantly, please offer your congratulations on this SharePoint page (be sure to tag "@Gigliotti, Ralph" so he sees your comment).
There is a lot of great content in this edition of HIGHL19HTS. Keep reading for a chance to find out who recently celebrated 45 years of public service, the results of the "Would you rather...?" survey questions asked last time, and much more.
Sincerely,
Dr. Leigh Anderson Chief Medical Officer, VISN 19
