If you are experiencing symptoms such as a cough, runny/stuffy nose, fatigue, sore throat, headache, muscle pain, fever or sneezing, call the VISN 8 Clinical Contact Center (877-741-3400) first – before visiting a hospital or clinic. Our clinicians are available 24/7 to address your concerns, schedule a virtual appointment with a licensed health care professional in the comfort of your home or wherever you may be, and assist if you need to get tested for COVID-19.
If it's determined you should get tested, your primary care team will submit an order for the COVID-19 test to be done at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital.
Where: The James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital Main Campus is the only Tampa VA site for COVID-19 testing.
Who: Only symptomatic Veterans are being tested. Veterans with symptoms should contact 877-741-3400 first to discuss symptoms and have an ORDER entered for a test.
How: Testing is drive-thru in the JAHVH Main Campus parking garage on the ground floor. On entry into the garage, follow signage to the testing area.
When: Drive-thru testing in the garage is available 7 days per week.
- Over the New Year holiday weekend – hours are 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
- Starting Monday, January 3rd – hours are 6:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
