Good Morning, Veterans
You will soon receive post cards in the mail announcing the availability of the COVID-19 booster shot.
VA Eastern Kansas is offering the COVID-19 vaccine booster shots. This decision follows the FDA authorization, and CDC recommends offering a single-dose COVID-19 booster shot. The groups eligible for the COVID-19 booster shot include:
- Individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated at least 6 months ago.
- Individuals who received a Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated at least 2 months ago.
To receive a COVID-19 booster shot, please contact to schedule an appointment: 1-800-574-8387 x54453.
Locations with specific dates include:
The Leavenworth & Topeka VA’s and our Junction City, St. Joseph, Ft. Scott, and Lawrence CBOCs.
