Message from the Executive Director
John A. Gennaro
This year, I have so much to be thankful for - family, friends, our Veterans, and the Erie VA Staff.
As we approach the holiday season, I share my gratitude for the Veterans we serve and for our team.
It is an honor and a privilege to serve those who have borne the battle, proudly donned the uniform, and secured our freedoms.
Thank you for entrusting your care to us, and for supporting our commitment to providing a safe environment for health care.
I am ever thankful for our staff who remain committed to providing safe and exceptional service over the past 20 months. Their positivity, reliability, and ingenuity are excellent characteristics of a sound team.
We will continue to uphold our promise to provide high-quality care to the Veterans we serve.
I remain grateful for all who served and those who continue to serve our great nation - and for the sacrifices made to defend our freedom.
Mindfulness is shown to be effective for reducing stress, improving emotional balance, increasing self-awareness, helping with anxiety and depression, and coping more effectively with chronic pain.
VA’s Whole Health resources help you develop and maintain a mindfulness practice.
Whole Health centers around what matters to you, not what is the matter with you. Your health team will get to know you as a person, before working with you to develop a personalized health plan based on your values, needs, and goals.
Take time today to practice mindfulness through guided meditation
