It's time to get your flu shot!

Veterans enrolled in VA health care can get a free flu shot during their primary care appointment or by visiting one of our facilities during the days and times below. Or Veterans can choose from one of more than 70,000 in-network retail pharmacies and urgent care/walk-in locations to get the flu shot. 

Flu shots are the best way to prevent flu.  During the pandemic, it is especially important to keep yourself healthy from flu.  Learn more about flu vaccine on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Influenza (Flu) website at https://www.cdc.gov/flu/season/faq-flu-season-2021-2022.htm.  Flu Vaccines will also be offered at your regularly scheduled PACT appointments.

We also have COVID-19 boosters available for Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen.

CDC authorized COVID-19 booster shot guidance for individuals who received each type of COVID-19 vaccine. 

  • For Pfizer and Moderna: A minimum of 6 months should have passed since completion of your first series.
  • For Johnson & Johnson (Janssen): A minimum of 2 months should have passed since the initial injection.
CDC recommends the following individuals should receive a booster shot:
  • People 65 years and older.
  • Residents in long-term care settings.
  • People aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions.

CDC recommends the following individuals may receive a booster shot:

  • People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions, like diabetes or obesity, may receive a booster shoot based on their individual benefits and risks.
  • People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of their jobs—like healthcare workers, teachers, or grocery store workers—may receive a booster shot.
