Nationwide Flu Vaccine Delays at Veteran Health Indiana
Veterans Health Administration sent this bulletin at 10/13/2021 10:58 AM EDTDue to a nationwide supply chain interruption, Veteran Health Indiana is experiencing a delay of flu vaccine shipments, both the regular dose and the high-dose versions.
Before coming in to one of our VA health care locations for a flu vaccine, Veteran patients are encouraged to call (317) 988-1772 to check on availability.
This shipment delay is expected to last through much of October. However, we will notify patients if this delay ends sooner.
The delay is due to a temporary period of reduced distribution from our primary vaccine supplier. This delay is having an impact nationwide.
If available in your community, Veterans can choose from one of more than 70,000 in-network retail pharmacies and urgent care/walk-in locations to get the flu shot. Veteran patients can also get their flu vaccine from one of our community partners at the following locations:
• CVS Pharmacy
• Kroger Pharmacy
• Safeway Pharmacy
• Costco Pharmacy
• Wegmans Pharmacy
• Walmart Pharmacy

Veteran Health Indiana will resume normal vaccinations once supplies are received.
