Third dose of COVID-19 vaccine for the immunocompromised

On Thursday, August 12, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised people. A list of the potential conditions can be found on the CDC website. This authorization allows for a third dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines only, not the Janseen COVID-19 vaccine.

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System(SAVAHCS) provides the Moderna vaccine. If you received a Pfizer vaccine previously, please find a Pfizer location within the community.

If you are immunocompromised, please call 520-629-4729 to make an appointment for your third dose of Moderna vaccine. Please bring your vaccine card with you for your third dose.

If you have any questions about the third dose of COVID-19 vaccine for immunocompromised conditions, please reach out to your PACT team.
