West Patio Entrance Closure effective July 3

Starting this Saturday, July 3, the West Patio entrance will temporarily close for six weeks as part of our phased exterior canopy project improvement at Miami VA. The West Patio entrance will be temporarily relocated to the North entrance of the medical center. Seven handicap parking spots at the West parking lot will be temporarily relocated to the North entrance parking area.

Patients/employees who park at the West parking lot have two options for entry into the medical center:

  • use the South main entrance by walking around the Fisher House
  • use the North entrance by the loading docks

The South front main entrance will continue to serve as the only exit for the facility. Red coat volunteer ambassadors will be available to take Veterans needing assistance to and from the West parking lot. Additional shuttles will also be provided from the West parking lot to the entrances.

Patients/employees can parked for free in downtown Miami located at 26 SE 1st Street. Downtown bus shuttle hours: Mon-Fri from 6 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and runs every 20 minutes.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
