Jacksonville VA Clinic to offer COVID-19 Vaccines at new off-site location

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System’s, (NF/SGVHS) Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic is moving its COVID-19 vaccination clinic to a new off-site leased location at , (5150 Timquana Road Suite 6, Jacksonville, FL 32210), beginning, Friday,  April 23, 2021. The off-site location will provide COVID-19 vaccination services to anyone who served in the military, their caregivers and spouses, and some other beneficiaries under the authority granted by the SAVE LIVES Act, signed by President Joe Biden on March 24, 2021.

“Over the past 4 months we have been administering the COVID-19 vaccines outside in the parking lot of the Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic. Transitioning this effort to the new off-site location will allow us to enhance the Veterans experience by bringing operations inside,” said Dr. Melinda Screws, Chief Medical Officer of the Jacksonville VA Outpatient Clinic. “Vaccinations will now be able to continue despite inclement weather, provide a larger space to maintain physical distancing, and will accommodate parking needs for Veterans receiving medical care at the Jefferson St. location,” she added. 

All vaccinations are by appointment only. Those eligible under the SAVES LIVES Act to receive a vaccine can go to www.va.gov/covid-19-vaccine to register and stay informed on VA’s vaccine rollout process. Veterans who are currently enrolled and receive health care from VA can bypass the registration process and call 352-548-6000 ext. 103755 to schedule an appointment.
