We are now taking vaccine appointments for March 23, 24 & 25!
Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville is now offering Pfizer vaccines for enrolled and eligible Veterans aged 50 years and older!
As of March 15, the Western North Carolina VA Health Care System - comprised of CGVAMC, and clinics in Rutherford County, Hickory and Franklin, NC - had provided 8,901 first doses and 5,470 second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The criteria to receive the COVID-19 has been expanded and includes All enrolled Veterans of any age with any of the following conditions: overweight or dealing with obesity with a body mass index of 25 or more. It also includes any Veteran with cancer, on dialysis, or with history of lung disease.
We are also offering the vaccine to Veterans of any age who are front line or essential workers who are enrolled and eligible for health care at WNC VA Health Care System.
