Carl Vinson VA Medical Center COVID-19 Walk-In Vaccination Clinic (No Appointments Required)
When: Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21 Time: 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (both days) Location: Dublin VA Medical Center Main Auditorium (2nd floor—follow signs) 1826 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021
Carl Vinson VA Medical Center is now vaccinating all eligible and enrolled Veterans who want to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in our new Walk-In Clinic.
If you already have a scheduled appointment for this weekend, the walk-in clinic supply will not affect your ability to receive the vaccine.
Why should you consider getting the COVID-19 vaccine? The vaccine will help protect you, your family, other Veterans, our communities, and Dublin VAMC staff by lowering the risk of getting an infection. Our goal is to vaccinate every Veteran who wants it.
What else do I need to know? After you receive the vaccine, it will still be important to continue wearing a mask in public, washing your hands, and social distancing at least 6 feet from others who don’t live with you until the virus is under control. It is our hope that a vaccine will help us all come through this pandemic together.
Veterans who have received any other vaccination in the last 14 days or have any COVID-19 or Flu-like symptoms will not be vaccinated.
Additionally, many Veterans are receiving a text message or an automated call to complete self-scheduling and/or begin enrollment for the vaccine.
There are limited vaccine doses and they will be administered on a first come, first served basis. You may be scheduled for a later date if the vaccination capacity is reached.
Here is what you need to know before participating in the walk-in clinic: • Due to the high demand for the vaccine, you may experience long lines and prolonged wait times. We ask for your patience as we work to ensure as many Veterans receive the vaccination as possible.
• Proper masking over your nose and mouth is required and we ask that you practice social distancing.
• The vaccine is administered in two doses. You will receive a second appointment time before leaving the clinic and second dose of the vaccine is approximately 28 days after the first dose at the same location.
• Photo identification and/or VA identification are required at the time of check-in. If you’re not currently enrolled in VA healthcare—NO PROBLEM! Our eligibility team will be on-site to enroll you so you can receive the vaccine. Please bring with you: o A copy of your DD-214 o Photo Identification
You must be enrolled and eligible for VA health care to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. If you’re not currently receiving health care through VA, find out if you’re eligible and apply now at this link https://www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply.
