OKC VA Now Scheduling COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments for Enrolled Veterans of ALL Ages
We are excited to announce the following opportunities that have just become available at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System.
We are now scheduling vaccination appointments for enrolled Veterans of all ages. We have three options for veterans to get scheduled for a vaccination appointment:
- Call 405-456-7119 and hit option ‘2’.
- Receiving a call from our schedulers
- Receiving a text message from the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (53079) allowing direct self-scheduling.
We understand that there may be some individuals who may be concerned about receiving one of the Covid-19 vaccines, particularly under the FDA’s “Emergency Use Authorization” (EUA). Although an EUA is granted after assessment short-term safety and effectiveness in thousands of study volunteers, we now have the experience of literally millions of US citizens (including over one million veterans) who have received one of these vaccines, and the safety and effectiveness data has been affirmed. In addition, safety in study volunteers given the vaccines now several months ago appears excellent thus far.
As a reminder, face coverings are STILL REQUIRED in all of our health care facilities.
