Tampa VA offering COVID-19 Vaccine Saturday, March 13

This is a message from the Tampa VA. In collaboration with the Hillsborough County Department of Health, the Tampa VA is operating a drive up COVID-19 vaccine clinic for community members that meet State of Florida guidelines and who are a family member of a Veteran. This clinic is also open to Veterans who have applied for VA benefits and are not currently eligible for care/benefits with the VA, and who meet the State of Florida guidelines. Vaccinations are provided FREE of charge. Please share this email/link with others who meet the criteria in this email.
Those who are eligible per the State of Florida guidelines at this time are:
- Long-term care facility residents and staff;
- Persons 65 years of age and older;
- Persons under 65 deemed medically vulnerable by a physician;
- Health care personnel with direct patient contact;
- K-12 school employees 50 years of age and older;
- Sworn law enforcement officers 50 years of age and older;
- Firefighters 50 years of age and older

The clinic will be held in the Tampa VA Freedom Parking Lot at 13202 Livingston Ave. Tampa, FL 33612. The Freedom parking lot is one block south of the Wawa Gas Station at 2325 E Fletcher Ave Tampa.
- Please do not report to the main campus. The vaccine site is in an offsite parking lot adjacent to the main hospital.
- You must have an appointment and must not have received any other vaccination in the past 14 days. This is a drive-up vaccination clinic, so expect to stay in your car for the duration of the vaccination process.
- After registering, please complete the State of Florida form at the link below, print and bring with you the day of vaccination. You do not need to complete the insurance information. The form is located here: Florida COVID-19 Vaccine Consent
- Please bring the ticket you receive in your email after completing registration. You can either print this or display on your smart phone, but we do need the consent form printed and complete.
- Please bring your driver's license or government-issued ID and documentation to indicate that you are in one of the qualifying groups outlined in the State of Florida vaccination guidelines (included above).
We will be adding appointments in the near future, so look out for additional emails from the Tampa VA if you are not able to get an appointment on March 13.
