Covid-19 Vaccines to be administered at the Hammond VA Clinic
Veterans Health Administration sent this bulletin at 02/05/2021 01:23 PM ESTThe Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System will be administering COVID-19 vaccinations at the Hammond Community-Based Outpatient Clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 9-12 by appointment only.
For appointments, Veterans should call VA at 1-800-935-8387 extension 72819. VA is also contacting Veterans to determine if they are interested in the vaccines.
Veterans who are enrolled in VA health care can receive the vaccine now if they meet any of the following criteria:
- 65 or older
- high-risk health condition
- essential workers
- caregivers enrolled in VA’s caregiver
The full list of groups VA is currently vaccinating in southeast Louisiana is available on the VA New Orleans home page at https://go.usa.gov/xAhkm. In time, VA will offer a vaccine to all enrolled Veterans who want one.
