NAVAHCS received the first doses of the Moderna COVID vaccine on December 22, 2020. The first vaccinations of the highest priority group began immediately as outlined by the CDC and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). Roll out to the following phases is currently underway as more vaccine is received. We will continue to vaccinate Veterans in a phased approach based on the number of doses received. Veterans can click here to sign up for an easy way to stay informed about the COVID vaccine. When you sign up, if you are interested in receiving the COVID vaccine, you can provide your information to have your name added to the list. Veterans are NOT required to sign up to get a vaccination.
Information and links for Veterans to access scheduling information will be made available on the NAVAHCS web site, Facebook page, Gov Delivery email and MyHealtheVet Patient Portal.
Once appointment scheduling begins, Veterans will be able to receive the vaccine at the main hospital in Prescott as well as the five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
Phase 1: Veterans age 75+, on hemodialysis or chemotherapy
Phase2: Veterans age 65+
Phase 3: Veterans ages 18 – 64
It is important to remember that even after you receive the vaccine, you still need to wear a mask, social distance and wash your hands.
NAVAHCS is looking forward to continuing to provide you outstanding health care in the new year. We appreciate your patience; stay safe and Thank You for Choosing VA.
