Dear VA Maryland Health Care System E-News Subscriber:
The VA is recruiting volunteers to safely test new vaccines and treatments to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Help protect your family, community and country by joining the VA Volunteer List for COVID-19 research. Locally, the Baltimore VA Medical Center is participating in a clinical trial for a single-dose investigational COVID-19 vaccine.
Enrolled Veterans interested in participating in the vaccine trial at the Baltimore VA Medical Center can sign up online at www.va.gov/coronavirus-research or call (410) 605-7701. You will be contacted if there is a study or clinical trial that seems right for you.
Joining the volunteer list for the COVID-19 clinical trials is completely voluntary. We’ll make sure that you have all the information you need before you decide to join a study. Even if you join a study, you can always leave it at any time for any reason. This won’t affect your VA benefits or access to VA health care in any way.
