New Extended Hours and COVID-19 Precaution Reminders

We are pleased to announce the convenience of extended hours at the Battle Creek VAMC and Wyoming CBOC. Extended hours are now available for primary care with appointments available until 6:30 p.m. on the designated day each week for your PACT Team.

Extended Hours

COVID-19 Precaution reminders. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe.

Appointment Arrival: Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible to allow for proper physical distancing in waiting areas. If the waiting areas are congested you may be asked to wait in your car or another area until contacted when your exam room is ready.

Visitors: As a reminder, due to COVID-19 precautions, we continue to limit non-essential visitors to our facilities.  One essential companion is allowed if they are needed to assist you with your appointment. Examples include a family member taking a Veteran home after a procedure involving sedation, a caregiver required to provide bedside care for a Veteran due to the specifics of the Veteran’s disability, or a chaperone helping a Veteran navigate the facility.

Facemasks and Face Coverings: Veterans and visitors must wear a face covering if it can be medically tolerated.  If they do not have one, they will be provided one.  This is to protect other Veterans and staff. Staff can assist you with options such as face shields or help coping with wearing of face masks. If you can not medically tolerate a mask, you should use virtual care whenever possible.  If it is required for you to be seen in person, you will be put in a room as soon as practical and be asked to not make any unneeded stops in the facility.
