Veterans Health Administration sent this bulletin at 07/31/2020 12:47 PM EDT
Hello Veterans,
Want to end this week with huge thank you for your continued patience and commitment to the safety of our staff, our Veterans and our community. You have shown strong work in adherence to our COVID-19 Entry Guidance and other requests. We will post those requirement again and add a few more reminders as you work through your medical care options at VA Eastern Kansas. Virtual care options remain incredibly beneficial for all and current data shows, you Veterans are using that resource in record fashion. THANK YOU! To learn more about our VA's tele-health services, please visit: connectedcare.va.gov
We also remind all of our VA campus and medical center entry updates:
- In Leavenworth: All campus entry locations are open during normal appointment hours. When entering the buildings we ask those with appointments to enter the main entrance (North parking lot side) generally between the hours of 7 and 4pm. If needing access at other times or in an emergency, use the ER entrance.
- In Topeka: Patients are to use the Gage Ave. entrance furthest south. You will be initially screened there and then park accordingly. When entering the buildings where you receive care, you will be screened further and then proceed accordingly to your appointment.
Please arrive on time but no sooner then 15 minutes prior. If you have a medical issue prohibiting you from wearing a mask, please reach out to your primary care team to discuss options.
Thank you for your service and thank you for partnering with us in providing the safest and most effective medical experience possible.
