Have you tried the COVID-19 screening tool?
Veterans Health Administration sent this bulletin at 07/07/2020 08:21 PM EDTSince the pandemic arrived in southeast Louisiana, Veterans have been undergoing screening before entering VA health care facilities here.
VA has introduced a new tool to help the screening process go more quickly: the COVID-19 Screening Tool.
The COVID-19 Screening Tool is an efficient way to respond to the COVID screening questions before you get to the screening station. Before you head to your appointment, or after you park your car, start by texting the word screen to 53079. You can also use this link: https://www.va.gov/covid19screen/. Then answer a few yes or no questions.
Once you finish, you’ll get a message on your screen that tells you one of two things:
- you’re OK to proceed for the day or
- you need more screening.
Show your phone screen to the person staffing the screening station. If you are OK to proceed, just get your temperature scan and go.
