PACERS: How to Identify Self-Neglect

Self-neglect is a serious and growing health concern. It’s the most common form of elder abuse reported to Adult Protective Services. Research has found that older people with self-neglect have a five-fold increase in death if not addressed. Veterans with dementia are at higher risk, especially those who live alone. This video helps providers identify the warning signs of elder self-neglect.
