There is a new video available to accompany our free "Collaborative Safety Planning for Older Adults" manual. Together, these resources detail best practices and practical tips for safety planning with older adult patients.
 Manual
This 24-page manual outlines the process for collaborating with a patient to write a safety plan. The completed plan will detail how to recognize warning signs, use internal coping strategies, select people/places to provide distraction, identify people to ask for help, contact professionals and agencies, and reduce the potential use of lethal means.
