Future of the VET TEC program
The VET TEC program is funded for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 (October 1, 2023 – September 30, 2024) with a budget of $45,000,000. The VET TEC program's five year pilot formally ends April 1, 2004. This means that students enrolled in a VET TEC program will be able to complete their training and find meaningful employment through FY 2024, but VA will not accept any new applications or enrollment certifications on or after April 1, 2024. At this time, FY 2024 is the last year the pilot program has been funded for.
Start preparing now! Current approved training providers can be found at our VET TEC Training Providers website. You are encouraged to check this list routinely to ensure you have the most up-to-date information regarding approved training providers.
There has been legislation introduced that may affect the future of the VET TEC program. Currently, no legislation has been passed which would affect the program. We encourage training providers and students to routinely check our Veterans technology education courses website to learn of any changes regarding the future of the program.

Submit your quarter four hiring data
Employer Partners, please be sure to submit your employment hiring data for the fourth quarter of FY 2023 to the VET TEC Employer Consortium team. Not only is this an important part of your responsibilities, but this information enables VA to share your VET TEC graduate hiring success stories with stakeholders, to include our Congressional partners, and emphasize your commitment to supporting the VET TEC program and Veteran hiring.
In addition to reporting the metrics, we hope that you will help us in telling the success stories of VET TEC graduates. We invite you to share with us the names and email addresses of the Veterans that you have hired for a possible future feature. We want to share their VET TEC success story and highlight your organization’s commitment to helping our Veterans find meaningful employment with the rest of the VET TEC community.
If you have a question about how to submit or need help, we can help you! Please email vettecpartner@va.gov to request assistance, today!
