Happy New Year VET TEC community! Last year was an exciting year for the VET TEC program. Program funding increased from $15 million to $45 million enabling even more Veterans and transitioning Service members to train for in-demand careers in high-tech. As well, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of the VET TEC Employer Consortium (EC).
This year, in conjunction with our EC partners, we will continue to support you throughout your VET TEC journey, from monthly events to free resources and much more!
We hope that you find this edition of the VET TEC Newsletter helpful and informative. If so, be sure to share it with others in the VET TEC community or those who may be interested in joining--either as a student, employer partner or training provider. To share, simply forward this email or you can share a link to the PDF version, found here.

GI Bill® Comparison Tool redesign
The GI Bill Comparison Tool has been updated to help you quickly find, filter and view schools and training facilities. You can now use the updated comparison feature to review up to three institutions side-by-side to highlight similarities and differences between them, making it easier to pick the best facility for you. The map feature improves the search by location function, allowing you to view and utilize a map to see the location of facilities in a certain area.

Did you get the job? If so, congratulations! If you have been hired for an IT position, be sure to update your job status on Resume Engine. Updating your status in Resume Engine gives us an opportunity to share your success with our partners and serves as motivation for other VET TEC students as they continue their VET TEC journey. |

Call for nominations! Are you a VET TEC graduate who has been hired by a member of the Employer Consortium or an employer who has hired a VET TEC graduate? If so, we want to feature you in an upcoming blog series called Jobs for Vets. The forthcoming series will be published on VA’s official blog, VAntage Point and will feature GI Bill® students who have achieved success in the high-tech industry and highlight the employers who are now supporting their career journey.
If you are a Veteran and would like to share your story, or if you are an employer and would like to nominate one of your VET TEC hires, email EDUSTAENG.VBAVACO@va.gov with Jobs for Vets Nomination in the subject line to request more information.
