A Message from Sarah Haddock, VBA iFAMS Implementation Lead
I hope you, your families, and your communities are staying well. While many VBA employees have been able to transition smoothly to a virtual environment, being able to balance your workload, care for loved ones at home, and manage uncertainty can be challenging. Now that the impact of working remotely has changed the way we normally conduct day-to-day activities, it’s more important than ever to remain focused on connectivity, flexibility, and empathy. GOE iFAMS Deployment Transitions from Three Phases to Two
In partnership with the Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) program, VBA leadership is taking the necessary steps to configure and test the Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS) to General Operating Expense (GOE) specifications and standards. To better address VBA GOE requirements and support you, the VBA GOE wave will transition from a three-phased iFAMS go-live to one that is two-phased. This revised, two-phased timeline allows VBA to streamline iFAMS configuration, testing, and training. Additionally, as part of this change, VBA GOE will add nine regional offices to the pilot. Expanding the pilot scope will help the project team quickly assess and apply lessons learned to the nationwide rollout. For more information regarding this change, please contact VBA GOE Project Manager James Jenkins
